 Preston Family Reunion 2019
The Preston Women – Legacies of Leadership
Join us August 9 – 11, 2019 to help us host the 2019 Preston Family Reunion in commemoration of the 245th anniversary of Historic Smithfield and the lasting legacy of the Preston family. Our theme for the weekend, "The Preston Women – Legacies of Leadership" celebrates the founding members of the Preston family and their ever-growing network of 500+ descendants.

Throughout the weekend, reunion attendees will have the opportunity to socialize and reconnect with family members and friends and will have chances to tour the ancestral home of Colonel William and Susanna Preston, Historic Smithfield, as well as two later Preston family properties: Whitethorn and Solitude, both located in Blacksburg, Virginia.

In addition to these tours, reunion attendees can enjoy a variety of discussions by guest speakers included in the weekend’s programming that will give insight into various topics about the Preston family and about Colonial American life on the frontier etc.

Please send your contact information to Kenna Jewell at kjewell@historicsmithfield.org if you would like to be included on our mailing list to receive reunion registration information, a schedule and other pertinent details about this upcoming program. We hope you will join us!
