Historic Smithfield's Summer Camp 2026: A Revolutionary Summer Adventure

$200.00

Historic Smithfield’s 2026 Summer Camp (July 27–31) invites children ages 8–12 to experience hands-on history in a fun, engaging environment. Throughout the week, campers explore what life was like on Virginia’s 18th-century frontier through interactive activities, outdoor experiences, and creative projects.

Campers will learn about daily life in early Virginia by trying traditional skills, participating in hands-on demonstrations, and exploring the historic site. Activities highlight how people lived, worked, cooked, created household goods, and built communities in the past. The week also introduces age-appropriate lessons about the American Revolution and the diverse people who shaped our region’s history.

With a mix of movement, teamwork, problem-solving, and creativity, campers will enjoy immersive role-playing experiences, outdoor games, and history-themed challenges. Each day includes time for reflection to help campers connect what they’ve learned to the larger story of Virginia’s past.

Historic Smithfield’s Summer Camp blends education and adventure, offering children a memorable week of discovery, skill-building, and fun.
